My Bio
I am an archaeologist by training, an editor by trade, and an artist and writer by avocation. I am a street photographer (at the moment) and I have been recording the people and places in the center city of Charlotte, North Carolina since 2009. I'm technically mediocre with the camera, but I have a decent eye. I specialize in street performers, political and social demonstrations, people at work, and women's fashion. I admire the Magnum Photographers and Bill Cunningham. I am in the editing stage of my 500+ page genre novel.
I was photo editor for Charlotte Viewpoint Magazine, 2009-2011; mayoral campaign photographer, 2011; principal photo contributor to the campaign to bring the Democratic National Convention to Charlotte.

I enjoyed what I saw so far. I am a street photographer but I want to get into portraiture (more commercially viable), and I've been looking for artists whose work I would like to emulate, and yours was really good. Thanks for sharing your photos here.

There are certainly many beautiful people in my city and I hope to talk a few of them into modeling for me. Do you pay your models, or do they pay you?
